Meet The Comforts

With over 14 years of experience in K–12 public education, The Comforts specialize in Music Education, Special Education, and Academic Remediation offering a warm, personalized learning environment where every student can succeed.

We understand that everyone learns differently and that some individuals just need the right approach and a little extra support. With The Comforts, you will receive the individualized and compassionate instruction needed to overcome challenges, build confidence, and thrive in and out of the classroom.

Virginia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Delta State University and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from American Band College of Central Washington University. With a deep love for music and a gift for engaging students of all ages, Virginia has spent over a decade helping learners unlock their unique creativity, build discipline through the arts, and strengthen core academic skills through remediation.

Nicholas earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Delta State University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Mississippi College. His career has been dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs from those requiring academic remediation to individuals with complex learning differences both in the arts and in education.

The Comforts specialize in creating supportive, structured environments where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow. Their educational background in both music and special education allows them to bring a unique, multidisciplinary team teaching approach to learning, combining creative expression with evidence-based academic strategies.
